JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on Agency owned and leased facilities, in addition to performing grounds maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and repairs as necessary.
- Complete inspections of residential facilities with Facilities Manager.
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency/unscheduled tasks and follow safety protocol.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on residential facilities.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Ensure minor repairs are done in a timely and frequently basis.
- Monitor contractors that work in Agency facilities.
- Grounds upkeep cleaning, removing trash, and performing basic landscaping or snow removal.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fully cooperates with the organization's compliance and quality improvement program.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned by their respective supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
- Knowledge of mental health and concepts on mental health.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school Diploma.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in maintenance and repairs.
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Must be able to lift to 55 pounds and climb stairs.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
